He received a PhD in computer science from the university Henri Poincar\u00e9 (Now Lorraine University), in 1985, and an HDR from the same university in 1998. He is also an alumnus of Ecole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure d\u2019Electricit\u00e9 et de M\u00e9canique.<\/p>\n<p>From january 2015 to january 2022, he was the scientific leader of a new research group\u00a0<a title=\"site web \u00e9quipe Larsen\" href=\"http:\/\/team.inria.fr\/larsen\">Larsen<\/a>, which is \u00a0a joint research group with INRIA, CNRS and University of Lorraine. Larsen focus on Long Term Robotics, Human Robot interaction and Active and Distributed sensing. Online learning and decision \u00a0are at the core\u00a0of the project.<\/p>\n<p>From 1998 to 2014, he has been the leader of\u00a0<a title=\"site web \u00e9quipe Maia\" href=\"http:\/\/maia.loria.fr\/\">MAIA<\/a>, which was a joint research group with\u00a0<a title=\"site web Inria\" href=\"http:\/\/www.inria.fr\/en\">Inria<\/a>,\u00a0<a title=\"site wen CNRS\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cnrs.fr\/en\">CNRS<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a title=\"site web UL\" href=\"http:\/\/www.univ-lorraine.fr\/recherche-et-innovation\">University of Lorraine<\/a>. \u00a0This group of about 30 members, was interested in Artificial Intelligence focusing on autonomous agent and multi-agent systems.<\/p>\n<p>Fran\u00e7ois Charpillet is also one of the founder member of\u00a0<a title=\"site web Diatelic chez Pharmagest\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pharmagest.com\/nous-connaitre\/le-groupe-pharmagest-r1.html\">Diatelic SA<\/a>, a start up created in 2002. Diatelic develops Telemedicine Solutions for chronic diseases follow-up. Diatelic is now mainly own by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.welcoop.com\/\">PHARMAGEST INTERACTIVE<\/a>, \u00a0the French leader in computer systems for pharmacies and which is expanding its activities into e-health and the development of telemedicine applications.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fran\u00e7ois Charpillet is currently directeur de recherche at\u00a0Inria.
