We propose a methodology which segments an artistic sketch into parts which portray objects. Our methodology is based on rapidity of the movements of a drawing pen. The sketches are segmented into parts which are drawn with almost constant rapidity of the pen movements. We conducted some experiments and the results show that the segmented parts of the sketch correspond to the objects.
