Sahbi SIDHOM, a tenured Associate Professor (Ma\u00eetre de Conf\u00e9rences &amp; Habilit\u00e9 \u00e0 Diriger des Recherches in French) at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.univ-lorraine.fr\">Universit\u00e9 de Lorraine in France<\/a>, is affiliated with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.loria.fr\">LORIA Research Lab (Laboratoire Lorrain en Informatique et ses Applications in French)<\/a>. My research work falls under the Department (D4.) specializing in \u00ab\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.loria.fr\/fr\/la-recherche\/departements\/4-traitement-des-langues-et-des-connaissances\/\">Natural Language Processing and Knowledge Discovery<\/a>\u00ab\u00a0, as part of the Smart Team, with connections to Complex Systems and Artificial Intelligence. My primary research interests revolve around Information Processing, Knowledge Organization, and the development of Augmented Information Retrieval Systems, particularly in the realm of Web Intelligence and Strategic Watch Applications. These diverse aspects collectively contribute to delineating the intricate dimensions of an \u00ab\u00a0Intelligent IR system\u00a0\u00bb in decision-making tools, fostering creativity, competitiveness, and innovation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">Through a series of experiments conducted in collaboration with numerous candidates involved in co-directed and defended doctoral theses (PhD), I has substantiated all my propositions within the HDR project.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>As an associate professor, my lectures include\u00a0 the various facets, from document (ie. <span id=\"result_box\" class=\"short_text\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"\">heterogeneous content: text, image, audiovisual, multimedia<\/span><\/span>) analysis, processing (with natural language and formal language) and indexing in databases and data-warehouses,\u00a0 to knowledge representation, visualization and organization, and u<span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\">sing methodological, technological and programmatic aspects<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>As a\u00a0 senior researcher, my domain of interest includes mainly \u00ab\u00a0data, information &amp; knowledge\u00a0\u00bb organization and modelling, processing and support;\u00a0 NLP (natural language processing) for document automatic indexing and reindexing by users; collective intelligence devices in decision-making process; Methodology and applications for Information retreival and Economic intelligence (or Competitive Intelligence) systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>I am currently the co-director of the following PhD thesis:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>N.
