Since October 2010, I have been a
CNRS junior researcher.
In August 2020, I joined the
Mocqua team in
LORIA.
From August 2013 until July 2020, I was on leave at the
Institute of Mathematics of the
University of Zürich.
From October 2010 to July 2013, I was a junior researcher at
LaBRI, Bordeaux, in the group
Enumerative and algebraic combinatorics of the
CombAlgo team.
Before that, I was a PhD student and teaching assistant at LIAFA (now
IRIF), University of Paris 7 - Denis Diderot.
Research interests
My research is dedicated to the study of permutations (and related objects) in enumerative, bijective and analytic combinatorics, in algorithmics, in connection with probability theory, and for random generation.
I am specifically interested in the pattern relation on permutations, permutation classes, and substitution decomposition.
Lately, I have specifically developed two main lines of research:
enumeration of pattern-avoiding permutations using generating trees,
and description of limits of permutation classes.
Working groups and projects I am involved in
From January 2025 until December 2028, I'm a member of the ANR project
LOUCCOUM (Large Objects Under Combinatorial Constraints and Outside Uniform Models), for which the PI is Lucas Gerin.
From January 2020 until August 2021, I was the PI of the SNF Eccellenza project entitled "Enumeration and limit shapes for pattern-avoiding permutations and related combinatorial objects".
From September 2017 until December 2019, I was the PI of the SNF project entitled "Several aspects of the study of non-uniform random permutations".
From January 2015 to December 2016, I was the PI for Switzerland of a French-Swiss project entitled "Constrained random permutations: algorithms and analysis".
I am part of the working groups
Aléa and
Algebraic Combinatorics of the larger research group
GdR-IFM.
I also used to be a member of the French ANR projects
Gamma (2007-2010),
Magnum (2010-2014), and
Psyco (2011-2014).
Seminar and conference organization
I'm among the organizers of the conference
WORDS 2025, which will take place in Nancy from June, 30 to July, 4, 2025.
I'm among the organizers of a research school planned for 2026 as one of the events of the ANR project LOUCCOUM.
I'll be among the organizers of Aléa 2028.
